El Porvenir

A shorter van ride and our clinic was in a community center in El Porvenir. Lots of little kids, moms, and a few elders at the clinic. All of the women are so beautiful in their traditional dress, and watching them wrap their babies onto their backs after their appointment is impressive

Some thoughts today from the nurses…. visiting with the community worker, they learned that this is the coffee season and the men are working long days, so aren’t able to get to the clinics. Should clinic hours be adjusted to serve more community members? 

Also, today they had lots of requests for dental care. 

The people come to the clinics, grateful for the attention they receive,  and every day we are reminded of our own blessings.
